2021 is expected to bring a continued increase in food prices, which reached a six-year high in December, according to Bloomberg News. You’ve probably seen this increase in your monthly grocery bill. The good news is that the Snead’s Farm CSA still provides a generous helping of local, farm-fresh, sustainably raised produce at a price that has not changed since the CSA started in 2008.

Shares of the CSA are available online. While this year’s prices reflect the addition of sales tax–an expense the farm covered for years–the base price has not changed.

The CSA begins in May, and runs from asparagus season through the summer season of berries, melons, tomatoes and corn into the fall, when our Snead’s Farm pumpkins create vibrant decorations and tasty eating for our member. CSA members get exclusive pick-your-own opportunities in our berry fields, and we are hoping to be able to offer more of those opportunities this year if growing conditions allow.

So whether you’ve resolved this year to eat healthier or better manage your food budget, joining the Snead’s Farm CSA is a great move that will pay dividends for months.
