**Sign up for the Artisan Subscription Box by midnight on Thursday, May 27, to make sure you are on the list for the June 1 box in time for Idlewood Farms to bake your fresh loaf of sourdough bread!**

We are excited to add a new product to our summer lineup. The Snead’s Farm Artisan Subscription Box is a 9-week subscription to a box of gourmet, hand-crafted items for the home and kitchen made by farms right here in the Fredericksburg area.

Deliveries will be made on Mondays, and the subscription will run from June 1 through July 27. The subscription costs $330 for the nine weeks, with delivery included. Check the map in our online store to see if you are within our delivery zone. We will also offer this box for pickup at Snead’s Farm on Wednesdays, between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. (this is the same day as our CSA pickup). Your subscription entitles you to free farm entry on this day, a chance to bring your kids or grandkids to come explore the farm. UPDATE: Due to customer demand, we are now offering the Artisan Subscription Box for pickup at both our Braehead Farm and North Stafford Monday CSA pickup locations. No additional fees apply for these options.

Here are some of the local farms who will be contributing to the Artisan Subscription Box, and examples of products they may have during the season:

Walnut Hollow Naturals (Caroline County) – lip balms, hand balms, soaps, food wraps

Canning Farm (King George County) – pullet eggs (small eggs laid by young hens with especially rich yolks, great for pastry making and delicious poached)

Idlewood Farms (King and Queen County) – heavy microgreens, homemade sourdough bread, pickled radishes, gourmet lettuce mixes, root vegetables, bunching greens, pizza kit

Belle Meade Farms (Scottsville) – Bee-Made Honey

Palzer Madel (Spotsylvania) – Jams and jellies, some made with ingredients from Snead’s Farm

Mushrooms by Jenny (Suffolk) – gourmet shiitake and oyster mushrooms
