Pick-your-own additions make the 2019 CSA our best deal ever!

Snead's Farm CSA Box

Pick-your-own berries have always been a popular part of our CSA here at Snead’s Farm. This year, we’re adding something that hasn’t been available in this region for more than 30 years: pick-your-own asparagus.

We plan to include pick-your-own asparagus and pick-your-own sugar snap peas (season permitting) in CSA shares for this year. Click here to join.

Pick-your-own days for CSA members and the public will be:

  • Saturdays (May 4, 11, 18): 10 – 11 a.m.
  • Wednesdays (May 15, 22, 25): 10 – 11 a.m.

We plan to offer spring pick-your-own opportunities totalling $220 in value–that’s in addition to the weekly box you get starting May 6.

So what are you waiting for? Get in now on one of the best experiences–and best values–in fresh local produce.

CSA News

We want to invite all of our CSA members to join us at the farm for a potluck supper on Wed., Oct. 3, from 4:30 until 6:30 p.m. This is the same day you’ll pick up your quadruple fall box packed with pumpkins and other fall goodies, so mark your calendars (and remember that all CSA members get the fall box at Snead’s Farm, regardless of where you’ve picked up during the summer).

This has been a very enjoyable CSA season for us here on the farm, and we want to get our members together for food and fun. Bring a dish for your family or to share. We will have The Well at Snead’s Farm serving simple fare like chili dogs and Snead’s Farm corn on the cob. We’ll also have a few local breweries on hand selling brews they’ve made with our ingredients this year. We hope it will be a fun evening of celebrating the local harvest, something our CSA members play a big role in.

We are already offering CSA shares for the 2019 season. Find the contract here. We will have it in the online store shortly. Join before Oct. 3 to take advantage of the 10 percent discount.

Thanks for a great season, we’ll see you in October!
